Intuiting Life

Genetics of Life

Genetics of Life

Genetics of Life

Since I’m quite confused with the fundas of life these days, I’d an idea to pass the confusion and spread the pain. Please try to forgive me for this. ;)

Beauty

I’d once heard a friend of mine say - ‘Beautiful girls are hollow from inside.’ I took his statement quite seriously and started a meticulous activity of proving it by real life instances. It turned out that he wasn’t totally wrong. Good looking girls do miss a certain compassion and enrichness of life. Since their childhood, they’re adored, loved and cared because they’re cute, they’re lovely. How many times you’ve seen an 8 year old lovely girl and thought she’s so alluring? I guess many.

As they grow up, boys start noticing them. The rest of the story you know. The point is after a certain period of time, this girl who’s so-called cute, beautiful, hot and sexy starts identifying herself with her physical appearance only which is mere a very little part of her personality. She stops noticing and developing her other personality traits like compassion, empathy, honesty, gentleness. It doesn’t mean she doesn’t posses them at that instant of time. She just ignores their presence and focusses on the thing that gives her the maximum likeness. Gradually, relating every aspect of their life with their physique becomes their necessity. This makes them a little hollow.

Fortunately, we have lots of very good exceptions. We have women who have taken care of the development of their overall personality. Such ladies have overcome the dependence on genetic traits and worked in the more vulnerable areas. No wonder why the most beautiful girl in the Miss World competition doesn’t win it most of the times.

Intelligence

Sometimes it takes people their lives and even more to accept the fact that genetic traits alone cannot make them the person they want to be or the world wants them to be. Sheer intelligence is always praised, but only with hard work, sincerity and passion. There have been many persons in this world having greater IQ than Einstein, Ramanujan or Fermat but we don’t know them. They did nothing substantial because they lacked several other things that cannot be gifted by the God.

The world always praises extraordinary things. It seldom cares if it’s god-gifted or developed. You just have to find you way to be the one. ;)

“You aren’t important if you’re not good looking or rich or powerful or enlightened or you don’t think you’re important.”

***

PS — I don’t care what I write these days. It’s better to write crap than writing nothing.

PS — And it’s a nice way to express my frustration on all the ‘beautiful girls’ who have rejected me at some course of time. ;)

PS — Rendezvous ‘09 is coming. They say it’s gonna be the biggest Rendezvous ever. I firmly believe this statement. I have no other choice. :P

PS — With many other probable candidates for the honor, I’m still unable to understand why a few girls of Kailash call me a ‘Despo’ !

PS — A little disappointed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy’s new album – Wake Up Sid.

PS — Thank God, Rahman kept up the pace with ‘Blue’.

PS — My all the efforts to increase my CGPA are in vain. Guess some things aren’t meant for everyone. :(

PS — Enough is Enough. C ya :)

Semester of Love – II

{If you haven’t read the Part I, read it from here.}

Its all love !

What’s with two persons that they can’t live without each other? What’s it that makes us so helpless, so incomplete, so in-content? Why does the absence of just one person makes the life miserable? Why do we love someone so much that we can’t help?

Yeah… Why do we love someone so much that we can’t help?

It’s all love. When it beckons, we can do nothing but follow. Follow it to the heavens and hells of life. And today, Nirup had quite a glimpse of both when saw her name in the attendance list. At first, it just reminded him his old days for a flicker of a second. But as he looked around & spotted her long, straight and the same beautiful hairs, he was dazed. She was Nishita Shah, sitting in the first row-corner. ‘Experimental methods & analysis’ – that’s what they call the course. But it had never been so happening.

***

{Later at night’
Nishita’s room…As she writes her first page…}

“27th July, 2009

Day 1 @ IIT Delhi

Dear Diary,

Yes, yes, yes…I know you won’t believe it, but he’s in my class! I saw him. This is so unexpected…!! I always had a hint that God was framing my life for me, but I never knew he’d been doing it so beautifully…”

***

{At my room, the same time.}

“So she’s a Matki?” I asked.

“Yep, Design Engineering. Nirup quoted.

“How can you be so sure?”

“Checked her entry no., checked the website.”

“But how the hell she’s in AML130? You can’t do a 100 level course at PG level…” I retorted.

“Only if you aren’t doing an interdisciplinary M.Tech…. Oh Comeon!! Don’t bore me by asking the f**king academic criteria of IITD…” He countered.

“Alright.”

***

(At her room… continued)

It feels like I’m on the seventh-cloud now. How can this be possible? Ahhhh….Who cares! All I know is I’m damn happy. I guess he saw me too. He’s still as handsome and cute as he’s always been. Ohh God!

Did he really see me today? If he had, he would have talked to me. Ohh no!! He’s always been too shy. Don’t you remember the bus stop? The stupid couldn’t even approach to me for a year. Everyday he would hang his grimy bag on his shoulders and stand alone on the bus stop just to stare me. Didn’t he ever realize how weird it looked! But perhaps, that’s what I liked the most. Don’t you remember the days when I used to stay awake late nights thinking about him, when I dress up in my uniform as nicely as I could, when I used to pray that someday he would come and talk to me. Nirup Joshi…my first and only love!!

But alas… he had to be sheepish. An intelligent one though – cleared JEE which I couldn’t.”

***

“So what’s your plan now?”

“I don’t know. I just don’t know.” Nirup replied. He looked unrestful and maybe, sentimental.

“Do you still love her?” I asked carefully.

“Perhaps not.”, He paused, “It’s been such a long time.”

***

“I knew he loved me too. Although, he didn’t say anything, I’d seen it in his eyes that night in the train. I still don’t know why I couldn’t resist myself going near him for the poor excuse of using the toilet. I guess he  got a hint. He must have, it was all in my eyes too. I really loved him. I wish I could have told him but I didn’t. He had his awesome career as well as wonderful college life awaiting for him at IIT. Saying anything would have been so inappropriate and embarrassing. I went inside the washroom and cried. I cried my eyes out. Why life acts so weird sometimes?

I didn’t sleep that night.”

***

“Tell me one thing, why don’t you have a girlfriend yet?” Finally I couldn’t stop myself asking that.

“I’m not sure I follow?” He raised his eyebrow.

“See… to be very frank, you’re one of the most awesome guys I know. You’re smart, well-mannered, intelligent. But I’ve never seen you into girls a lot.”

“Honestly, I don’t feel like I need a girlfriend, or a friend as a girl for that matter.” He explained.

“Are you sure it has nothing to do with Nishita?”

He took a while and said:

“No, I’m not.”

***

“But I guess everything happens for good only. The wonderful 4 years of college healed everything. I could also pursue my dream for IIT again. The GATE result made it come true. I knew he is in Delhi. And so I took the chance of switching the discipline to Applied Mechanics and choosing IITD over others. I had no idea that it would work out so fantastically. Life really do acts weird sometimes. This is incredible.

I don’t know if he still feels the same for me. I don’t know if I too still love him or not even. Possibly, he could be in a relationship. Or ‘relationships’ by now.  I don’t wanna think about it.

The coincidence is much more than I’ve ever wanted. I need nothing else. And that’s the beauty of it.

Good Night.”

***

{Three Boring Days Later}

Better late than never, he reached to her as she entered into the class. Sometimes crossing the road isn’t as difficult as it seems.

“Excuse me, are you Nishita? From Gwalior?”

She looked at him. Yes, she was Nishita Shah, but only more beauteous and alluring than she used to be 4 years ago.

“Yeah… I guess we know each other, don’t we?” She replied being elated.

“Yes, we do. I’m Nirup.”

“What do we do now?” She asked him as the professor entered.

“Let’s just sit together and pretend we like each other.” :)

***

Why do we love someone so much that we can’t help?

It’s all love. When it beckons, we can do nothing but follow. And so the ‘Semester of Love‘ embarks. :)

.

PS — It’s all love. :)

PS — One of the most complicated fictions I’ve ever dealt.

PS — In your face Aakash Kushwaha, you lost !! HIMYM is better than Friends. ;)

PS — No more PSs.

Semester of Love

{In close association with Snehil’s blog – Love Aaj Kal. Read it from here.}

Part I

Semester of Love

Semester of Love

“Love is an illusion that one girl is different from other.” Nirup quoted.

“Ohh..”

“Yeah… the irony is we don’t know it and that’s where all the problems start.” I don’t know why Nirup came in my room and started this ‘anti-estrogenic’ psychology suddenly. He was in final year, 4 years senior to me, quite intelligent and damn handsome. But as far as I knew, he had no girlfriend. This was quite a mystery for me. His charming face, awesome physique and cutie looks have already been recognized by many girls. In fact, girls of my year too have a crush on him. Even I have a crush on him. He could have easily got a real pretty girl as a GF if only he hadn’t this ‘All girls are same’ mindset.

“Why are you talking like this?” I asked. I didn’t know if I was really curious or I was just defending the ‘Estrogen Community’ for no reason.

“I am in a problem Geed… a big problem.”

“Problem? Ragging case or swine flu?” I asked. These two are the only areas of concern in IITD these days.

“Hell no yaar… It’s Nishita Shah.” He replied.

“Nishita Shah???” I repeated with a question mark in my tone.

“Yeah, Nishita Shah.”

“Would you mind elaborating?” I remarked. He didn’t seem to listen.

“She had this very long hair reaching almost her waistline.” He started.

“Is this the problem?” I interrupted and laughed.

“Ohh..shut up. Don’t spoil the mood. Ok…So she was cute, fair and delicate like an angel. Doesn’t need to mention, like every teenage boy of my colony, I too fell in love with her. Her home was on the other sector at a distance to mine. I didn’t get to see her much during my childhood except the rare occasions when she used to come to the grocery store in front of my house. But as I grew older, I began to hear about her from boys all around. I too, with some of my friends, used to make rounds of her house on my cycle.” He paused and smiled as if the snapshots of the past have been appeared in front of his eyes.

“Nirup… err…would you mind skipping the unnecessary details.” I suggested.

“Ohkk… so then an amazing thing happened. She changed her school in 11th and now her new bus stop was just the opposite side of the road to mine. Her bus used to come 15 minutes earlier than mine. Somehow I managed the problem by waking up early and reaching the stop 20 minutes before so that I could get to see her. It, although, appeared quite weird & soon her friends and as well as mine started talking things. I didn’t care. Her hazel eyes, slender yet so graceful figure, and the folded chotis made me ignore everything. A year passed like this but I never talked to her. So one day, I finally decided to cross the road.” He stopped to check if I’m still listening.

“Please continue…” I signaled yes.

“So, I crossed the road and reached to her. After collecting a lot of strength, I said ‘Hi’. She didn’t reply nor respond. I was too nervous to say anything else. Her friends were giggling at a distance and her face was just blank revealing nothing. A little later her bus came and she left. After this embarrassing incident, I stopped going to the bus-stop before time.”

“Then?” I asked.

“Then what… after a few months, JEE came. Since that bus-stop day, except for the rare occasions, I didn’t see her. I didn’t really care too. I’d my studies, my career. But sometimes I would sit down in my room with my hands on my head and realize that I was missing something in my life. It was her. The infatuation hovered on my mind until the JEE results came. The world came to my feet & I decided to forget her. I didn’t expect that I was gonna see her again.”

“Story of my life”, I interrupted.

“Hey… Am I boring you?” He asked.

“I’d rather not answer that.” I murmured.

“So when did you see her again?” I asked to appear interested.

“In my train to Delhi.”, He continued, “I don’t know why life acts so weird sometimes, because when I was leaving for Delhi in train, she was in the same compartment with her father, though a few seats away.”

“Then…?? What did you do? Did you talk to her?” I really got interested now. It takes time to realize that every love story is cute.

“Well actually I was literally shocked to see her. I stared her for a while, she too looked at me a few times. I wasn’t sure she remembered me. It happens usually with pretty girls. The train was a bit crowded. Meanwhile, I took my mobile & went to the only charging spot near the doors. I didn’t realize the God was still onto me. A little later, she too came & stood near me. I was stunned. Firstly, I thought she’d come here to talk to me. But then I realized I was a stupid. She came to use the washroom which was occupied at the moment. I looked her a few times, she was looking too beautiful. Her long, straight hair, some of them falling elegantly on her shoulders were giving me an aesthetic pleasure of eternity. I was spellbound. Suddenly, all my feelings buried beneath deep under got surfaced out. I noticed she was looking at me. We stared at each other for like 2 minutes. I felt as if I should tell her everything. But I couldn’t. Those were the 2 minutes of my life I would never forget…. NEVER!” He sighed.

“Then..?”

“Then the door of the washroom opened up and she went inside.” He said nervously. I laughed. He looked at me for a while and winked.

“So, what happened next?” I asked still laughing.

“Well… not much. Since it had been quite a night, so they switched off the lights. I was still sitting awake on my seat, looking at  her. I couldn’t see her properly, but I am damn confident that she too didn’t sleep that night. A few hours later, as the train reached Agra, she left and was gone.”

“Ohhh…”

“I too came here, in IIT Delhi. Life changed drastically. New place, new people, new system and then assignments, minors, majors…. girls, parties, lan gaming, movies, night outs!! It took me no time to forget her. I got so busy with my life to really think and care about her. And it’s been successfully about 4 years doing that.” He smiled.

“Hmmm… that was a nice story. I guess this is how life works. Some people come, make you feel good, affects your life and then they leave. But we shouldn’t feel nervous about it. Rather we should be thankful that it’s because of them we get to experience some of the most beautiful days of our lives.” I started giving my boring funde to him. This time too, he wasn’t listening.

“Hey…. wait…”, I yelled as I realized something, “What’s the BIG PROBLEM then?”

He stopped smiling, looked at me and said:

“I saw her in my AML130 class today.”

“Let’s face the fact, everyone does it…”

“Everyone does what?”

“Don’t act so lame. I am talking about the M word.”

“Ohh… sorry…! Never did it.”

“Didn’t or couldn’t?” :P

“Shut up!”

“Ohkk…”

After 15 boring minutes.

“Acha you tell me… why do you do it?”

“Do you have any other solution?” ;)

“But it’s such a waste of energy and time!”

“Energy… may be…! But time… Absolutely Not! In fact it saves time.”

“Saves time!! How?”

“See… the average time required to make a girlfriend, build a good relationship, marry her and finally do the sex is about 5 years. Doesn’t take a genius to calculate mine way’s better.”

“Who said you should marry her to do it?”

“Actually… I don’t believe in sex before marriage. Ethical issues.” ;)

“Hmm… that’s the only good thing I heard from you today.”

“Thanks. Btw there are some more you don’t know.”

“Like what?”

Like…

# 99% of boys in the world do it. (The remaining 1% lie.)

# It is the second best thing in this world a person can do alone. (Well… HONESTLY, the first one is not doing it.)

# 96% of girls do it too. The knowledge about the rest is not known except that they all live in India. (All offenses meant…!) :P

# Makes you self-sufficient & increases your self-confidence.

# One of the rarest activities of extreme fun which are effortless for you & harmless for others.

# Supports porn industry. Thus provides employment to an incredibly large number of people. ;)

# According to research at Harvard Med, doing it 2-4 times a week reduces chances of heart problems by 67%.

“Rubbish. The thing, that most of the people do it, doesn’t make it right. There are much better ways.”

“I am listening.”

“Exercise, run, convert your sexual energy into something positive and fruitful. If you still wanna go wild, get a high by listening to rock music or play squash. Own and read good material, eat and talk healthy and make your surroundings as well as yourself clean and luminescent. Love someone. When you control it, its confidence appears on your face and its pride in your eyes.”

“Hmm… hmm… I must say you look ‘over-confident’ then… ” :P

“That’s not funny.”

“Sorry sorry… Well, thanks anyways. You’re right, there are much better ways to deal with it. Probably I won’t wanna do it anymore. Probably…”

“Now you got it.”

“Chalo gotta go… see ya later.”

“Wait…!!”

“What?”

“Did you say it was 67%??

To God

He's watching us

He's watching us

Dear God,

I hope you’re fine. In case you didn’t notice, my life seems good too.

Although summers are on, but it’d rained last night, so the weather is a bit chilly now. I’d always wanted to ask you why you made summer seasons! Trust me, If you were in Delhi staying in the top floor of Aravali,  you would not have considered doing that. But yeah anyways, summers have their own advantages. And when I say this you know that I’m not talking about the mini-skirts and sleeveless-tops wearing girls. ;)

Actually, life really appears to be great this time. Except for the PHL minor exam last week and the break-up of Ted and Robin in the last episode of HIMYM Season 2, everything else rocks. I hate Robin, although can’t deny the fact that’ she’s too hot! :D

Hey by the way, thanks for making hot girls. You don’t realize what good you’ve done for the mankind by this. It has made our lives worth living. Thanks a lot (especially for Avril Lavigne, Elisha Cuthbert & Amrita Rao.) But if you’d modulated their ATTITUDE levels a bit too, it would have been so generous. Please take this into consideration for future creations.

Actually there are so many things for which I need to extend my gratitude towards you. Thank you very much God for giving us Sachin Tendulkar and A R Rahman. They are the best men alive I know. Thanks for making IIT girls not-so-sexy, not-so-hot. At least I’ve got one single reason to focus on my studies. :P

But let me tell you it still isn’t a perfect world. Especially after you’ve demolished Nesckis in IIT Delhi, there’s nothing much left out here. Now everyone calls your name when they feel hungry late night. Some suggestions for improvement include creation of more great personalities like Kalam, Nilekani, Narayan Murti etc. (Please don’t make one like me for a while, I prefer to remain unique until I’m alive.) ;) But yes, make more BARNEYs. He’s the greatest man on the earth.

Please tell the Aravali Mess people to cook well… at least for your sake!! People say I’m getting skinner day by day. I wish they knew the real reason. Hey, can you please reset the mindset of MS Dhoni? As a matter of fact, we all Indians need it done right now. Other proposals may include repairing A.C. of VI LT 2. It’s too hot in there during the classes. Also ask the damn IIT professors to start behaving like humans a bit. There’s a hell lot to write about them but may be I’ll do that in some future letter. For now you too know they all suck!

Since you’ve helped me out in every phase of my life, I’m confident you would take my all the above points into consideration.

And yeah… about that deal of ours… I’m complying with it completely. Thanks again for making her say ‘yes’. You don’t know what you’ve done for me. And as per our agreement, I’m loving her more than anything else in my life. Well… I must tell you she’s much better than what you & I’d guessed. She’s very caring, wakes me up daily in the morning so that I could attend my bloody lectures. Listens to me when I’m happy or upset. Laughs at my poor jokes. Stands besides me all the time. Believe me God, having her brings so much confidence. There are a million reasons I love her. She’s my best friend. And like you once said, she’s the best girl we know in the world.

I guess you should also make a gf now. Do tell me if you consider proposing that secret-crush of yours! ;)

Rest is all awesome. And I’m including that ‘red-top blue-short-hot-pants’ girl I saw that day in WindT in the previous sentence. She was damn sexy!! :P

Thanks for everything.

Take care of this world.

Yours,

Himanshu.

Ain’t No Virgin !!

Virginity is Bliss !

Virginity is Bliss !

# This post is sincerely dedicated to all the unfortunate men who are still abstained from the most beautiful experience of life.

“Huh…!! Enough is enough.” Harish yelled.

“What?”

Why can’t you let us have it?”

“Have what?” She questioned as if she didn’t know anything.

“Arrey… stop playing ignorant… Don’t you act like a child!!”

“No I’m not. In fact you’re acting like a child.”

“A child never demands for sex!!” He said completely impressed by his statement.

“Huh…!! We’ve had this discussion before.” She sighed.

“Ohkk… stop discussing, start doing.” He smirked. Surely, a poor comment.

Harish and Shreya had been in a relationship for last 1 year. And just like in any other couple, sex had its important part to play. Every teenage-couple knows that they both would do it at some point of time, but no one knows when it’s gonna come. This is called a typical-Indian-committed relationship. Initially boy tries to play sober. He shows that getting physical isn’t his area of concern. Although he never stops trying to make the things go other way. While the girl acts as if she’s completely balanced and it’s only the boys who have got these hormonal problems.

But here the twist was a bit different. Harish was a virgin but thanks to Shreya’s ex-boyfriend in 12th standard, she wasn’t.

“Shut up.” She howled.

“Oh come on Shreya…!! I’m 20 and still virgin.”

“That’s appreciable.” She simpered.

“That’s awful.” He whined, took a pause and spoke again, “If you can have it, why can’t I?”

“I’ve told you already it was a mistake. I still regret it.”

“Who says you can’t repeat the same mistake again?”

“What?” She exclaimed being impressed by his question.

“Yeah… let’s do it. And if you say we can regret it later together.” He said.

She paused for a while. His hopes went high. Finally, she opened her mouth:

“NO !!”

As per the rule, the girl has the last say in any argument ‘coz whatever the boy says after that is the starting of a new one. And so the brave soldier fighting against his virginity surrendered.

“Hmm…ok fine.” He sighed.

“Thanks.” She smiled.

“But I can see that you’re feeling jealous of me…” He opened his mouth again.

“Why so?”

“Coz now I’m a virgin and you’re not.” He replied confidently.

“Ohh come on… this won’t work on me.” She articulating trying to sound firm.

“Doesn’t matter. But now, I’ve got the dignity and pride, I’ve got the reputation and dedication… unlike you!”

She didn’t know what to say, so he continued: “When we’ll get married, I’ll have this glorious thing to say on our honeymoon that I didn’t have sex even once with anyone before marriage.”

“Or let us say you didn’t get to have it…” She said and laughed.

“Ohh Shhsshhaa…. From now, I won’t do it, even if you say…!! Virginity is a bliss.” He roared.

She got uncomfortable with the discussion. Harish’s contingency plan was working.

“Ok fine… cut the crap. Let’s do it.” She said finally.

“Hmm… ohkk.. if you say so.” He uttered.

_______

5 Minutes Later

“So you sure you wanna do this?” He asked her.

“Yup. You say… are you prepared?”

“Of course dear, see here’s the rubber.” He replied enthusiastically.

“Idiot..!! I mean are you prepared mentally?”

“Ummm..ohh!! Yes yes, m prepared.”

______

Six hours later

Harish wakes up besides her, gets out of bed, realizes something and yells in excitement:

“Ain’t no virgin anymore !!”  :D

Maa…

I Love You Mom !!

I Love You Mom !!

Dear Mom,

I don’t know why I am writing this letter to you. Perhaps this is the only way through which I could let you know all those things I’d always wanted to say.

I Love You Mom. I’ve never told you but you’re my first love. For me you’re the most beautiful lady in the world. I know you love me much more than I could ever love you, I know you’re the only lady in this world who loves me more than she loves herself.

Mummy, there are times I’ve fought and argued with you. There are times when I’ve disrespected your advices and over-ruled your orders, when I’ve thought your thinking is old-fashioned and you’ve grown old. When I’ve felt you’re unable to understand my generation and time. But these are the times I’d acted foolishly, I’d forgotten that if anyone knows me and understands me completely in this world, it’s you.

Mom, I miss you a lot here in IIT. I miss you whenever I walk alone from hostel to Insti. I miss you when I get bad grades in quizzes and there’s no one to tell me that everything’s going to be alright. I miss you when I miss my classes as I wake up late in the morning. When I eat hostel food and when I wear dirty clothes.

There’s everything here mom – good facilities, caring and concerned friends and reasonably pretty girls. But there are times when I feel lonely, because you’re not in here. There’s no one here to tell me what’s right and what’s wrong. No one stops me when I go for booze or wake up late nights. No one ever says I’m idiot and worthless so sweetly as you used to say.

Please forgive me. My senseless and idiotic activities may have hurt you many times. But I didn’t mean to do that.

I know when you’re there, you miss me too. I know you still pray twice a day, and in both times you pray for me. Starting with the first ray of sun in the morning till night, you still work tirelessly for our family. I know your happiness lies in my happiness.

I am happy here mom, happier than I’ve ever been before. But I miss you.

I Love You Bitch !!

“Hey Shuchi… do you wanna listen me or not..I want to say something yaar…” He said.

“No !!” She replied.

Just like everyday, Jatin and Shuchi were sitting at the Insti Nescki after the classes. Just like everyday, they were eating their muffins and drinking frappes. And just like everyday, they were having an argument. But this day was a bit more than that.

“You know…you’re a bitch.” He yelled.

“How dare you say it to me?” She shouted at him like she always does.

“Yes…!! You’re one. But I love you.” He uttered at once. Surely, it wasn’t one of the best dialogues to propose a girl. He too didn’t believe he said that.

“What?? What did you say?”

“I said I love you.” He repeated. It sounded good to him.

“But you said I’m a bitch?”

“Yeah, that’s right.” He tittered.

“One second… I ain’t getting you. Are you proposing me or insulting me?” She inquired.

“I’m just saying the truth.” He said.

Yes… he really loved her. He’d first seen her at the introduction day of the college. It was like love at first sight. Later he approached and talked to her. He was lucky because it came out that they both were from the same branch & same city. Classes started and they soon became good friends. They used to study together & hangout in the insti talking or sometimes watching movies during the night-outs. They spent loads of time together talking, quarreling and fighting with each other. Jatin knew she’s ‘the one’. But there was a problem – She was a BITCH !

“You are nuts. I am leaving…” She yelled and stood up.

“Hey wait… don’t act weird yaar… if there’s any problem we can discuss it…” He shrieked.

“Ohh..so you wanna discuss that I am a bitch…!”

“Yeah…!”

“What the F ! May I know how?”

Good question. But don’t let me open my mouth..!” He chuckled. He was surprised by his awkward sense of humour particularly in this situation. Shuchi wasn’t impressed.

“No..you’ve got to tell me…”

“I won’t.”

“Then I’m leaving.”

Wait… I love you.” He said and held her hand.

“What??? Get off me..” She plucked back.

He stood up, held her hand again and said:

“I know you’re a bitch. But I love you. You’re just no more than a selfish, dumbwitted egoistic moron. Still I love you. I know you how you treat boys and use them to entertain you. I know you go for dates each weekend with a different guy everytime. Still I love you. I know you don’t care for me, or anyone who loves you. Nevertheless, I love you. Don’t ask me why, I too even don’t know the reason. All I know that there’s no time I don’t think about you. All I know is I’ve never felt the same for any girl in my life as I feel for you. All I know is I love you…… even if you’re a bitch. ;)

“Huh..!” She sighed. She’d never got such an absurd and insane proposal in her life. She didn’t know what to say.

“So… Shuchi… Will you be my girl?” He bent on his knees and said.

“Go to hell !!” She shouted.

“Hmm… seems you didn’t like what I said. Ok fine…you can leave.” He sat down back on the bench.

“Hey… but just now you told me to stay?” She defended.

“But now I beg you… please for god’s sake…. LEAVE ME ALONE !!”

“You know you’re the biggest jackass I’ve ever seen in my life.” She screamed at him. He was upset enough to pay any heed to her comment.

“I know.” He replied nervously.

“But I love you too.” She whispered and left. ;)

‘P’ for Poltu

Poltu

Poltu

This time I dedicate this blog to all my seniors who have already spent their innumerable hours in giving us fundae and are still continuing to do so…very sincerely. :P

The letter ‘P‘ has always been a fascinating thing for me. Starting with PORN, it has affected almost every sphere of my life. Even my last few days were completely jubilant because of this ‘P‘ only. (I hope some of you will be getting this ;) ) But this time, the letter has widened its domain and is now infiltrating my serene life in a completely new and interesting word – POLTU.

What’s Poltu?

In IIT Lingo… it’s a short form for Politics. It’s a new and fascinating arrival in the IIT-Life of all the facchas. Some are delighted by it, enjoying it’s vivaciousness, while others are feeling disgusted.

Why Poltu exists?

Ideally, poltu should exist for the welfare of the masses, it should exist for a vision, it should exist to achieve it. Alas…!!! In IIT it exists to make ‘Reps’, ‘Secys’, Cultoos and Maintoos. It exists to gain power as well as resources. It exists for greed, selfishness and voracity. Sometime it exists for ethics, but most of the time this isn’t the case.

Advantages of Poltu:

# It provides a better and a new excuse to avoid studies and waste your time.

# A senior of mine once quoted: ‘Discussing Poltu is better than sex.‘ Thus, it gives a few days of sheer pleasure to ‘despo sex-deprived’ IITians.

# It’s one of the only two possible ways for a junior-senior interaction in the first year. (The first one is ragging.)

# Perhaps it is the only time when you can literally speak ‘gaalis’ to your seniors and still get an appreciation.

# There are 8 different ways to decrease your CGPA. Apart from Poltu, the other 7 are unimportant.

# Poltu enhances self-exploration. (You get to know how mean, selfish and obnoxious person you are.)

# It teaches you how to mould facts and misanalyze situations.

# It makes you optimistic. (Even if you are in deep shit, you would always look hopeful and anticipative.)

# It reforms one’s social skills. (It teaches you how to fight with friends and alienate people.)

# One never gets to eat as many free pizzas, muffins and coffees ever as he gets during Poltu time.

Disadvantages of Poltu:

# So far any disadvantage of Poltu hasn’t been found. :P :P

Final Word

Politics is everywhere, it affects everything and sometimes… it is everything. Learning politics is an essential skill of life.

“Issued in Public Interest.” (By a fachha who’s politically screwed and too confused to choose a party.)

To My Valentine

Will You Be My Valentine?

She Said Yes..!!

When I’d almost decided to get over and move on,

When I’d lost all my hopes and aspirations,

When I’d almost convinced myself to live without you,

When I’d just promised God to love in vain,

You came like an angel and guess what… ruined it all. ;)

This is my first Valentine’s Day because of you dear. You don’t know, you don’t realize what you’ve done for me.

Hey have I told you already, but in case if I haven’t, I won’t miss a single chance to say:

I Love You.

There’s something in you which inspires me everyday, every moment to live euphorically.  There’s something in your eyes which spurs me to bring all the happiness of the world before you. There’s something in your smile which makes me feel that everything’s going alright. And when you say, ‘I love you too’, there’s something in your voice which makes me feel I am the luckiest boy in this world.

This Valentine, I want you to be mine forever. I want to spend my whole life with you. I want you to accompany me so that I could make you feel that how special you are to me.

I want to grow old with you. I love you outside the limitations of time and distance. Even if you are 700 kilometres away from me, I can feel you inside my heart.

Thanks for giving me those days of struggle, because otherwise I wouldn’t have realized how precious you are… for me, for this world.

Thanks for acknowledging and accepting my love. The jar of love was about to spill when you came and drank it all.

Thanks for loving me too; it’s the best gift I could ever get in my life.

PS — I am amazed to see how a girl can change the whole aura around a boy.
